Whirlpool

Whirlpool   The circular movement of water or wind caused by the encounter of two opposing currents is called a whirlpool. It is a powerful force from which escape is difficult. Symbolically, they represent the difficulties and sufferings of life. Just like the whirlpools in large water bodies (i.e., oceans) forcefully drag down everything caught in them, the whirlpools of life are unsafe for humans and lead to their ruination. In life, the people caught in it have the following habits. In other words, certain habits or way of thinking leads one to get stuck in the unfortunate vortex.   1.    They believe in luck. These people account for all the happenings to chance. Never accepting their faults, they blame their fate for all the mishaps they go through. If they failed to prove themselves in any circumstance or didn’t get what they wanted, the fact that they didn’t work hard would be the last thing on their minds. Such people are too dumb, lazy or arrogant to put in sinc

The benchmark for a beautiful personality

Image
A saying goes that a slight difference exists between being pretty, sexy, and beautiful. Pretty is when your face looks good, sexy is when your body is appealing and beautiful is all about the person. It encompasses your inner character as well as your outer personality. Out of these three, we can judge that being ‘ beautiful ’ is the most valuable compliment. Personality  What is personality then? Let’s see what it means. The Latin word  persona   is the root from which the word personality is derived. Persona is a mask or veil used to hide a person’s identity and it was used by actors in the olden days to display particular roles. This brings us to the fact that a person's personality can be fake as well as genuine. Every single being undergoes the process of growth and development. What kind of personality a child will own as an adult depends entirely on the development and training he received in his early years. According, he might be well-groomed or a hypocrite. T

How To Tackle Red signals? You need to know that you cannot always control your surroundings. you can only control what goes inside- your thoughts and emotions. And this is called responsibil

A Brilliant Blunder

Introduction Oscar Wilde once wrote:  “Experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes.” Mistakes are inevitable. It will happen no matter what. Not only today people make mistakes but since mankind came to earth, blunders happened. Humans are prone to them. In every aspect of life, every field of study there is a record of numerous accidents done by people and not without consequences. Historical blunders had consequences. In Greek mythology, the destruction of the city of Troy was the disastrous result of the elopement of princess Helen with Paris. In Philosophy, Aristotle’s idea of bodies moving towards their natural place was a mistake. Karl Marx’s prediction of the impending collapse of capitalism was no short of a mistake, and so was Sigmund Freud’s speculation on death instinct. To cut a long story short, many great people in history whether they be philosophers, thinkers or commanders who have done mankind's incredible services had even committed blunders.

Knowing one’s worth and having faith in one’s abilities is the key to success. Higher expectations lead to great rewards. A Little unloved

Image
Daughters are a blessing, and will remain so. In the old days, girls were much unloved and looked down upon. Abandoning them was routine. Boys were considered a pride because later on in life, the reins of control were to be in their hands. Gone are those pathetic days. However, a vivid semblence of this cruel notion still remains. Somewhere deep in our hearts, this dispicable truth is still innocently buried and is exposed by a slight feeling of satisfication that comes from a brith of a baby boy.  It, no doubt, is a moment of delight in itself. But it becomes lamentatable when subjected to comparasion. It becomes lamentable when the extent of delightfulness varies on these two occasions. Why should it vary? Why are sons still more celebrated? Aren't girls a pride as well? They are. But we're not ready to accept it. Things might not be as bad as they used to be. But a deeper look into the matter reveals that they are neither good. We are always incomplete without a man. But

Value Your Absence

Image
Many of us make this mistake. The mistake of running after people. Making them value us by our presence. Making them value us by always being available. But that will not at all help you. You've got to limit your availability. Even customers pay little heed to the item in abundant supply. The demand for the rare is there. The rare thing has great value because not everyone has access to it. Diamond is valuable because its rare. Same is the case with people. In the same way, the more you show up, the less respect you get no matter how nice you are. Your to can only be realized by your absence. So, besides being a helpful person, show up when needed. Not more. Not less. The tricky thing is that you have to figure out a way to maintain a balance between this absent-present situation. Too much availability lessens your "price" as the other person takes you for granted. Likewise, seldom showing up also marres your reputation.Your image will eventually be wiped out from the s

A "little" problem

Image
In our society, girls have been and are still being brainwashed that the prime reason for their existence is to get married. After marriage, they have to put up with their in-laws. Before, if they are lucky, they can persue their dreams according to their will. But this will comes to an end after they get married! One often questions about the fruit of ones effort. Weren't girls educated so they could modestly upgrade their own lives instead of being heartlessly dictated upon. One often questions what respect have these girls earned after striving hard for so many years getting education. Why arent girls allowed to continually persue their dreams- to live and earn a bit more respectfully. Such instances are prevalent in our society where everyone-including the girls parents deny her rights or even pretend as if it was no big deal. On the other hand, anything troubling the in-laws is percieved significant on both sides and must be rectified as soon as possible. A grave fault in ou

Education and state

The education system of any country is a reflection of its existing political system. The institution of education is closely related to the state. The type of education being imparted depends on the nature of the government or political party because each brings to the forefront its own agenda which it plans to implement. For instance, a government revolving around a single person i.e. dictator or a monarch will implement a particular education system to suit his needs. The motto of his education system will be ‘self-sacrifice, discipline and duty. The ultimate aim of his education system will be to strengthen his own position and elevate his status. Educational institutions will be a mere tool in the hands of such a government. The curriculum will be designed to suit his needs. Teachers, themselves will be dictated by their authorities. Textbooks will be redesigned accordingly. Attempts would be made to crush initiative, criticism and creativity. In short, everything will serve h
