self help: Getting to know yourself

Getting To Know Yourself

Hi friends.

If you want to know what’s best for you, then the first thing to do is to get to know yourself. That is exactly what I did when I was completely lost!

Two things:

1)      Firstly every human being is born different with different interests, talents and mindsets.

2)      Every human being wants to succeed.

Everyone tries to succeed, but you must know that success comes in different ways for different people according to their potentials. The main reason for people’s failure is that they go straight for the second thing, when they haven’t mastered the first one yet. (I did this too.) Yes.                                                                                                                                                                                                     It is very important to know who you are and what you like.”

For example: People will put their efforts in those tasks for which they have not been born to do. (Remember, every child is born with his own mind.) As a result, they get frustrated, tired, bored and finally quit.

This is the Wrong STRATEGY. So what’s the right one? Obviously the right thing to do is to master the first step of understanding yourself. The most important person in your life is YOU. Now, at least you know you are born different, but how...Simple! You’ll have to ask yourself some questions. The more you investigate about yourself, the more you know who you are.

Once you get your answers, you’ll be in a position to make proper and realistic decisions about your life. This knowledge about yourself will be a guideline for your decision making process.

“The moment you take a decision is the moment you change your fate.”

All sounds simple and quick, doesn’t it? The dark side that it will take some time- maybe days, weeks, or even months for some questions. That OK. Getting the precise information about yourself is extremely invaluable for the rest of your life. YOU are YOU, and will always be YOU.

Here are a few question that I had asked myself (and still do when I reconsider something I my life). So let’s get started_

Q.1) what sort of personality inspires me and what work does this personality do?

Example: I am inspired by a formally dressed office lady who is a business woman, a beaurocrat or a secretary.

Q.2) what do I want to do?  (What sort of work can I imagine myself doing best?)

-Why do I want to do it?

-How will I do it? (Your strategy of doing your work)

Q.3) what sort of life do I envision for myself?

Q.4) what are my three most important goals I accordance with my envisioned life?

Once you’ve written down your goals, take the initiative. (I mostly start doing things the same day on which I set my goals.)

Q.5) Listen to your gut instincts.

-What makes me smile? (3 things)

-What makes my stomach ache? (3 things)

Your guts tell a lot about yourself. So be aware of it.

Q.6) what qualities do I really value? (The qualities you respect and want to possess.)

Example: I truly value the qualities of freedom, Confidence, honesty and responsibility. You can write down your own.

So here are the questions that I ask myself. And by doing so I understood myself more than I knew before.

 TASK #

Write out your answers to these questions and get news about yourself?
