self-help: Stay less worried

Stay less worried.

People encounter worry in their life. Everyone is caught under its net. They regret the past, worry about the present and the future as well.

But worrying is natural, isn’t it? No one wants to be worried, yet it comes to everyone so easily! So, the question arises: Is worrying good? And if not then how can we get rid of it?

LITTLE WORRY IS POSITIVE

A little stress is a good thing. It can be helpful as it gets you to complete your important tasks. If you are a student, worrying about your homework and exams will earn you good grades because you’ll study

WHAT ABOUT TOO MUCH WORRY?

Now this is not good. Constantly overthinking things will lead to anxiety, and if it exceeds its limit- would cause depression and health disorders.

ANXIETY AND HEALTH PROBLEMS

Over-anxious people are depressed.

Doctors say that
“Diseases of our stomach are related to depression.”

In fact 70% of diseases are related to the state of being worried. Worry weakens our immune system. That’s why happy people are healthy, energetic and mentally strong. Seems like the world is for happy people only!

Another research has shown that worry is liked to lifespan.

“Worrisome people die early.”

But why does worry effect our whole body?

This is because the way we think had an impact on every cell in our body. Our mind is like a sun which throws its rays on all body parts. These rays can be good or bad for us according to our thinking.

SOLUTIONS:

“Laughter is the best medicine.”

You heard it a thousand times. It’s true. Laughter is a tonic. We feel happy when we laugh or like something.

CHEMISTRY BEHIND FEELING HAPPY

Our body chemistry changes and our hormones are improved when we are happy. Have you ever felt a slight or sudden gush of pleasure when something you like happens to you? This is because the happy hormones are released in your body. These hormones create positive feelings in us.

Dopamine: The ‘feel-good hormone.”

Serotonin: Improves your mood, habits and memory.

Oxytocin: Also known as ‘love hormone.’

Endorphins: These are the stress relieving hormone. They are released whenever you indulge in reward producing activities.

TASKS TO DO:

1)      Laugh with a friend

2)      Enjoy any activity (i.e. cooking) with a friend. Spicy foods, yoghurt, eggs, beans and almonds release the feel-good hormones.

3)      A good massage can boost all four of you happy hormones.

4)      Take some exercise. It releases these hormones and uplifts your mood.

5)      Sit in the sunlight for 10-15 minutes. It releases Serotonin.

6)      Be grateful. Count god’s blessings.

Apart from this you can do whatever that makes you happy. Always maintain your tastes and joys in life.  This is the way to minimize worry in your life.

Einstein said, “The mind which creates problems will ever find a solution to that problem.”

In order to find a solution you must change your way of thinking.

MORE INFO:

Napoleon Bonaparte- a warrior ad a dictator-never stayed happy in his life despite having fame, wealth and power. He quoted,

“I am that unlucky guy who never even had 6 happy days in his life.”

On the other hand, Heller Keller- a blind woman who lived until 78 years- always stayed happy.

She said. “I stay happy because I don’t have time to worry about those things that I didn’t get in my life. God has given me so much that I don’t care about what I don’t have.”
